As soon as I could hold a crayon, I began to create art.
String, rocks, paper, cardboard, crayons, paste, marbles, mud, fabric.
Everything was used to make something beautiful, strange or curious.
I dreamed in technicolor.
I was especially drawn to how people expressed themselves through their external appearance, and the dichotomy of the inner self and that outer expression.
I use many different mediums, such as watercolor, oils, acrylics, and silk.
I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process.
Each idea manifests in its own individual style. Though a common thread
runs through my work; typically associated with color and pattern.
Awake or asleep, I have art on my mind. Everything from how the light after a hard rain reflects off of wet surfaces, to the
graduation of color on a faded petal, to chaos
on the forest floor of leaves, sticks & pebbles, inspires me.
I love recreating plants and wildlife
in my work.
However, the common theme of
female energy and its influence on everything is usually in my art.
